Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is currently keeping himself busy with the post-production of his upcoming series 'Heeramandi,' is slated to make a grand announcement in March that concerns his next filmy project. As per sources, the acclaimed filmmaker will be casting many big stars for his next.
A source close to the film’s team revealed, "SLB is aiming to announce the film in March 2024 without much delay."
Not only that, India Today has exclusively learnt that the 'Ram Leela' filmmaker's next film will be multi-starrer. The source stated, "The next film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going to be a Pan India film. It could be a massive multi-starrer pan-India film. There have been many news floating in and around the film, However, nothing has been revealed yet, but any star from India can be roped."
As per a report by ETimes, it stated that the film will see a "return of younger but big stars for the film," adding that a source told them, "actors like Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are in the running and more actors are expected to join the cast of the movie." However, there's no official confirmation regarding the same.
But for now, fans can prepare themselves for a release of 'Heeramandi' which is the director's first project with Netflix. It features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh in lead roles, and revolves around the lives of courtesans and the cultural realities of Heeramandi during 1940s India. A fusion of love, betrayal, power, and politics, the series will showcase all the things Bhansali is known for: larger-than-life sets, soulful characters, intriguing narrative, and conflicts that itch you.
