Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently wrapping up the post-production of one of the most awaited projects ‘Heeramandi’, which is slated to release on Netflix. It is also official that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt for a new film titled 'Love and War'.

Now, as per a report in News18, the renowned filmmaker is also reviving his most ambitious project ‘Inshallah’, and it is expected to go on floors by June this year.

“There have been several speculations about Bhansali’s next including Baiju Bawra and another Pan Indian multi-starrer film, but the director has no such plans and has already started working again on Inshallah. The filmmaker has already started the initial preparations and is planning to announce it officially by March. Bhansali plans to start shooting for the film as early as June,” the news portal quoted a source as saying.

The source also mentioned that the ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ director is in advanced talks with Shah Rukh Khan for the same. The source mentioned, “While several reports state that Shah Rukh Khan has politely declined the film, it isn’t true. SRK has had multiple meetings with Bhansali for Inshallah and in all likelihood who will be greenlighting the film. It’s a mature love story, something that goes with Shah Rukh’s personality. SRK has also expressed interest in the project, although he hasn’t made up his mind about being a part of it.”

For the unversed, ‘Inshallah’ was supposed to feature Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead. The pre-production work was completed and its set was erected in Filmcity, Mumbai. However, before the film went on floors, Bhansali’s production house SLB Film announced that the film was no longer happening, and it was suggested that it was due to creative differences between Bhansali and Salman Khan.

Meanwhile, coming to ‘Love and War’, it marks the reunion of Bhansali and Rabir Kapoor after 17 years. They had worked together on ‘Saawariya’. The film also is his first collaboration with Kaushal, and reunites him with Alia Bhatt after the success of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The new film, which was announced on January 24, is slated to release on Christmas 2025.
