Seerat Kapoor, after starring in several South films, made her big Bollywood debut with ‘Maarrich’ recently. The actress has established herself as one of the industry's most beloved actors. And now, Seerat Kapoor talks about the casting couch, facing uncomfortable situations, and much more.
After working in many films, when asked whether she has faced any discrimination or challenges in the film industry ever since her debut, speaking to TOI, Seerat Kapoor says, "Not to my understanding. I also don't pay too much attention to such energies. My focus has always been to improve myself and my craft. So, it does help when you keep the noise at bay. Instead of wasting time and energy thinking about what others are saying, one should concentrate on what needs to be improved."
Seerat Kapoor also talks about life in the film industry. She says, "The fact is that it is a slice of life. Life in the film industry, especially during difficult times, becomes a slice of life."
When asked about her experiences on the casting couch and whether she received unwanted advances from the people around her, Seerat Kapoor says, "Its existence cannot be denied. However, I believe the power of control also lies in your hands. It all comes down to how you choose to react to such uncomfortable situations. We must be aware, hold our head up high, and entertain nothing less than what feels right to you, individually."
On the professional front, Seerat Kapoor will soon be playing the female lead in Dil Raju's next production venture, which is yet to be titled.
