Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make a comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus on January 25 when his film ‘Pathaan’ with Deepika Padukone will be released. Clearly, all his fans are supremely excited to see their favourite actor in the much-awaited actioner. However, before the film’s release, the Delhi High Court directed Yash Raj Films to make some changes in the project, including preparing subtitles, closed captioning and audio description for the visually and hearing impaired audience.
Interestingly, during the court proceedings, the OTT release date of the film was revealed and it will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 25. On Monday, January 16, the Delhi High Court asked the makers to do changes just on the OTT platforms. The court hasn't given any directions for the theatrical release of ‘Pathaan’.
Meanwhile, the Delhi HC also told YRF to submit the film to the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) again by February 20 with the required changes, so that it is cleared by March 10 ahead of its streaming.
‘Pathaan’, which is touted as one of the biggest ever action spectacles, is a Yash Raj Films’ action extravaganza. It is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe, and also stars John Abraham. It is directed by Siddharth Anand.
The film, which is scheduled for release on January 25, 2023 during the Republic Day weekend, will be released with the dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu. The film will feature SRK as Pathaan, a RAW field agent. The music of Pathaan is composed by Vishal–Shekhar and the background score is composed by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara.
