Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is provided with the Y+ category as he has reportedly received death threats. As per reports, the actor has got “imminent and probable” threats, as confirmed by police sources in Mumbai.

During the release of his film, 'Pathaan' there was controversy over the song 'Besharam Rang'. Paramhans Acharya, an Ayodhya-based seer, had allegedly issued death threats to the actor

Now, under the Y+ security cover, SRK will be accompanied by six armed security personnel round the clock armed with MP-5 machine guns, AK-47 assault rifles and Glock pistols, as his bodyguards will be there at all times. Also, his house 'Mannat' will be guarded by four armed policemen. Shah Rukh will pay for his security.

Intelligence reports state that the threat to the actor's life has increased owing to the success of both his movies 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'. News18 report states that a notification has been issued by Dilip Sawant, special IGP, VIP security, and it states: “In view of the recent imminent and probable threats to Shah Rukh Khan, cine actor, all unit commanders are requested to provide him Y+ with escort scale of security on payment basis, with immediate effect till the next high level committee recommendation and review committee decision, during his visit/engagements and stay in your jurisdiction to avoid any untoward incident."

Shah Rukh Khan is not the first Bollywood star to get this security. In 2022, Salman Khan’s security was upgraded to Y+ from the X category as he reportedly received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan's latest release 'Jawan' is running successfully worldwide. He will be next seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' that is releasing on Christmas.
