Actor Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor grabbed the headlines when their leaked kissing pictures went viral in 2004. Shahid had just started his career and was dating Kareena at that time. He had earlier denied that the pics didn't hold any authenticity but now in an interview, he revealed he was deeply affected by it.
Shahid told Mid-Day that he was just 24 and was destroyed at that time after the private pics were leaked. He felt that his privacy had been invaded and he could do nothing to protect it.
He said, "I was a mess, I was like, yeh kya ho gaya and what is going on and of course, it affects you a lot. At that age especially, because you don’t even know exactly your own feelings and then you are figuring out how to be with a girl and you are dating and in the middle this happens.”
After dating for years, Shahid and Kareena broke up in 2007. Today both have moved on in their lives. Shahid is happily married to Mira Rajput while Kareena is enjoying her married life with Saif Ali Khan. Shahid has two children while Kareena is a proud mother of two sons.
The 'Farzi' actor further said, “I think now you are aware that it is 100 percent going to happen. At that time, we were caught off guard by it. So, it is like an informed devil as opposed to an uninformed devil scenario. Also ab toh meri shaadi ho gayi hai, bachche ho gaye hain. Nobody is interested in those things about me. They have other 24-year-olds to focus on.”
On the work front, Shahid was recently seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Bloody Daddy'.
