Shahid Kapoor is one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood. He became a talking point in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial 'Kabir Singh' (2019). Shahid, who was last seen in 'Bloody Daddy' has reportedly teamed up with filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani for his next film. It is reported that he will play a mythological hero. Yes, you read that right! A report in PeepingMoon.com claims that Shahid will play Mahabharata's great warrior, Ashwatthama.

The portal quoted a source saying, “Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani have been developing this ambitious project since early this year and are determined to create a visual spectacle that promises audiences a cinematic experience like never seen before in Indian cinema. It will be mounted on a humongous scale with a global VFX team and an ensemble cast comprising actors from across the Indian film industry. Shahid has already signed on and will undergo intense physical training to embody the character of Ashwatthama''.

Well, if this report happens to be true, it would be great to see the 'Farzi' actor playing such a cult character.

Earlier, there were reports that Shahid Kapoor was to start shooting for his next film with Anees Bazmee. Rashmika Mandanna was also said to be part of the big-budget action comedy. But Shahid left it due to creative differences. Pinkvilla reported that they parted on “amicable terms''.

Shahid Kapoor will be seen opposite Kriti Sanon in an untitled romantic drama which marks their first collaboration.

In October this year, Maddock Films who have bankrolled the film shared a poster and wrote, “Mark your calendars – Valentine Week! Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan present an untitled film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, set to release on February 9, 2024.”

The movie also stars veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia.
