After having fun-filled pre-wedding festivities, television couple Shrenu Parikh and Akshay Mhatre got married on December 21 in the presence of their family and friends. The wedding took place at Shrenu's hometown in Vadodara. On Thursday, the newlyweds shared dreamy pictures from their wedding ceremony on their respective Instagram handles.
For her big day, Shrenu was in a heavily embellished red and orange lehenga while Akshay was in a red sherwani. They were all smiles in all the wedding pics. Shrenu captioned the pics, “Taken forever = 21/12/23 #LoveAtFirstTake.”
The inside pics and videos from their wedding ceremony have gone viral on social media as they are shared by their fan pages on Instagram. In one video, the couple was seen exchnaging varmalas.
The pre-wedding festivities of Shrenu and Akshay were grand. They had mehendi, sangeet and other functions before the wedding. The couple hosted a sangeet night on Wednesday, where they danced to several hit Bollywood songs with their friends including Shrenu's 'Ishqbaaz' co-actor Surbhi Chandna and Manis Srivastava. The mehendi ceremony took place on Tuesday. Shrenu and Akshay twinned in green outfits.
For the unversed, Shrenu and Akshay worked together on the show, 'Ghar Ek Mandir'. The actress starred in several hit shows like 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Ek Baar Phir', 'Ishqbaaaz', 'Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampan', 'Ghar Ek Mandir' and 'Zindgi Ka Har Rang…Gulaal', among others. While Akshay is known for his roles in 'Piyaa Albela' and 'Indiawaali Maa'.
