Shreyas Talpade’s Family Gives Actor’s Health Update, Says ‘He Looked At Us And Smiled Today’

Shreyas Talpade's family revealed that the actor is recovering well after undergoing angioplasty on December 14.

Shreyas Talpade, 47, suffered a heart attack on Thursday, much to everyone’s surprise. He underwent an angioplasty on December 14, and now his family has shared a health update and said that “he’s doing better now”.

Shreyas’ family members also mentioned that he is recovering well and the surgery was successful. They added that Shreyas “looked at us and smiled today morning,” as per a report in The Times Of India. The family was also quoted as saying that Shreyas is “cheerful” and “will talk to you in a few days time.”

Meanwhile, Indian Express Online quoted a hospital source, on the day the actor underwent angioplasty, “Shreyas sir got admitted to the hospital at 8 pm. The procedure has been successful, and he is doing alright. He should get discharged in three to four days.” 

Following which, Shreyas’ wife Deepti shared a note on social media and thanked his fans. She wrote, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming concern and well-wishes following the recent health scare my husband experienced. I’m relieved to update everyone that he is now in stable condition and will be discharged in a few days.”

Actor Bobby Deol had also revealed how Shreyas suffered a heart attack on Thursday after returning from a shoot. The ‘Animal’ actor mentioned that he spoke to Shreyas’ wife, who informed him that Shreyas’ heart had stopped for ten minutes. He told Bollywood Hungama, “I just spoke to his wife. She was really upset. His heart had stopped for about ten minutes, apparently. Now they’ve revived him and done an angioplasty. So just pray that he will be fine.”

Earlier, Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying that Shreyas was absolutely fine and shot the entire day for the Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.

“He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way,” the source had said.
