In a recent shocking news, noted actor Shreyas Talpade, aged 47, collapsed because of a heart attack. The actor was rushed to the city’s Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West, Mumbai, on Thursday evening.
The hospital confirmed that the actor underwent angioplasty at around 10 PM last night and shared that he is stable now. They also shared that the surgery was successful. "He was admitted late in the evening and the procedure happened at around 10 pm. He is now doing fine and should be discharged in a few days," the hospital said.
For those unaware, in simple terms, angioplasty is the surgical repair of a blood vessel to allow blood to flow more freely.
Reports say that the 'Om Shanti Om' actor collapsed after suffering a heart attack after his shoot in Mumbai. He was rushed to a hospital after he complained of feeling extremely uneasy.
According to a trusted source, Talpade was feeling totally normal and shot the whole day for the underproduction multi-starrer film, 'Welcome to the Jungle.' “He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way,” added the source. The hospital gave a confirmation saying, "Shreyas Talpade is admitted. He was brought late in the evening. His health update is awaited."
Talpade has been criticially and commercially for his work in Hindi as well as Marathi industry. In a career that has spanned over almost 20 years, Talpade has done over 45 films, and has been a part of numerous box-office hits, including, 'Om Shanti Om,' 'Golmaal Returns,' 'Dor,' and 'Housefull 2,' among others.
