Friendship Day is celebrated solely to honour the friends we have made in life and thank them for the meaningful direction that our lives have taken since we met them. On the occasion of Friendship Day, we asked actress Sneha Jain about her good friends.
She says, “You don't get to choose your family, but you do get to choose your close friends. I have many girlfriends, whether it's my mother, my sisters, or my friends. My relationship with them is very close; we share everything from our clothes to our conversations, and moments. We support each other through both tears and laughter.”
Sneha adds, “The bond I have with my female friends is unique, and I don't think the same kind of bond can be shared with my male friends. Whenever I used to watch movies featuring female best friends having fun and traveling together, I always wished for the same in my life. Fortunately, I have such beautiful girls in my life. They are Akshita, Pooja, and Heta. We are incredibly closed to each other, they have witnessed me dancing happily, being zoned out, and crying after a breakup -- they have witnessed all. If someone knows me completely, apart from my family, it has to be them. They play a vital role in my life, always supporting and guiding me, even pointing out my mistakes when necessary. And I feel that’s the best part of genuine friends.”
Sneha and her friends doesn’t believe in celebrating Friendship Day. She says, “I believe our bond is special every day. We are always in touch, constantly talking, texting, and making plans together. Our relationship is perfect, it's a very selfless bond we share. We've been together for 15 years, and I know we will remain BFFs for life.”
