Along with being labeled as the music streaming platform Spotify's 'top streamed artist' of 2023, Taylor Swift is estimated to earn more than $100 million from Spotify, as per the calculations that were made based on the leading number of streams for the year posted by the streaming giant on Instagram.
The American singer's 26.1 billion streams add up to approximately $97 million in music royalties, as per a report published by Billboard. And there is still a month left for the year to end! As per the report, while estimating Taylor Swift's total streams through December, her music will have earned about $131 million on Spotify by the end of 2023.
But what is to consider that Spotify is not the only music streaming service platform. Though it is the largest one, it faces tough competition from others too. The Billboard report estimated that Taylor’s total earnings from streaming could be nearly $200 million for 2023 alone.
Spotify, every year, releases its year-end 'Wrapped' and they did it this year too on November 29. According to Spotify statistics, Taylor had racked up 26.1 billion streams globally since January 1, surpassing other artists like Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Drake and Peso Pluma. But we all saw that coming.
With the ongoing success of her 23-tracked album, 'Midnights' as well as two chart-topping re-recordings: 'Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)' and '1989 (Taylor’s Version),' the latter of which gained 375.49 million official streams in its first week, as per the Billboard report; it is no surprise that Taylor's year on Spotify tops any artist ever on the streaming platform.
In other news, Taylor Swift has wrapped up her ongoing 'The Eras Tour' for 2023 and will be continuing in 2024.
