A few days after Priyanka Chopra had said she quit Bollywood because of some people, Kangana Ranaut lashed out at Karan Johar for sabotaging the career of the ‘Citadel’ actress. Well, not just Priyanka Chopra, did you know Karan Johar even tried to murder Anushka's career even before it started? Well, a new video is doing the rounds on social media suggests so.

In the now viral video, Karan Johar is seen saying he wanted to 'murder' Anushka Sharma's career. He even confessed how he almost ruined her career because he asked Aditya Chopra to not sign her for ‘Rab Ne Bana di Jodi’. He reportedly wanted to cast Sonam Kapoor in the film, but it was Adi Chopra who was impressed with Anushka and ended up casting her only.

It was during the 18th MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2016, Karan joined his ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actors Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai for an on-stage interaction, and said, "I totally wanted to completely murder Anushka Sharma's career. Because when Aditya Chopra showed me her image, I was like, ‘no, no, mad or what, you're signing her, you crazy! There is no need for you to sign this Anushka Sharma'. There was another lead actress at that time who I wanted Adi to sign and I was totally behind the scene sabotaging her completely. I also reluctantly watched Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.”

However, he then revealed that Anushka's performance in ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ changed his perception, and he even called her to say, "Apology because I felt so embarrassed that I would have actually ruined the graph of an exceptional talent and secondly, a compliment because I thought she was amazing," the filmmaker said.

Anushka Sharma made her debut with 2008 film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She will next be seen in the Netflix film ‘Chakda Xpress’.
