Released in 2014, Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’ is one of the most impactful satirical movies to be made in the Hindi film industry. The movie starred Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. While we are talking about the movie, one cannot forget the furore the poster of the film created. The poster showed Aamir Khan posing nude with a boombox covering his pelvis. It has been nine years since the movie was released and now is the perfect time to revisit what Aamir had said about the poster.

According to IANS, Aamir mentioned that if he had been asked to pose nude for a film two or three years ago, he would have rejected the idea. But when he read the script, he realized that it was a natural reaction by the character, and it fell in place with the plot. To him, it didn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable.

The actor mentioned how he always trusted the vision of Rajkumar Hirani. ‘PK’ was Aamir Khan’s second movie with the director. Their first film ‘3 Idiots’ was massively successful.

Aamir Khan also said, “When you (the audience) will watch the film then only you will be able to understand the idea behind (the poster). But I would just like to say that the kind of filmmaker, the kind of writer Rajkumar is, he always tries to present things, his thinking, in a unique way and that's why I am his huge fan.”

Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘PK’ took a satirical look at religion and religious practices. Owing to the sensitive nature of its content, the film found itself embroiled in controversies from seers and godmen. However, it went on to collect over Rs 700 crores.
