Ranveer Singh, who turned 38 on Thursday, is well-known for his energetic personality, and the audience and his fans are used to seeing him like that. However, in an interview, when he asked how he conserves his energy, the actor said that all he eants to do is give and feels hurt when he is criticised for giving it all.

In an earlier chat with BBC Asian Network, the actor had said, “It’s particularly difficult when you get brickbats for just giving,” adding, “People saying ‘It’s too much, why don’t you just curb your enthusiasm?’ It hurts.”

When asked about his thoughts on his energy levels, Ranveer said, “There is one part of me that wants to conserve. But like you very rightly said, I’m not the kind of person who can hold back. I’m just a giver.”

Ranveer further mentioned how it was his dream to be a Hindi film. He shared, “It was my big dream to be a Hindi film hero and for it to have been realised, it’s just… How can I not pay those blessings forward? How can I not spread happiness and joy amongst people? I feel like its my calling that I have been entrusted with this responsibility by the almighty to entertain people. I am an entertainer and I’ll do it till my last breath. I just want to entertain people.”

Ranveer will next be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ with Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
