'Dhootha' (Amazon Prime Video)
'Dhootha' starring Naga Chaitanya and Parvathy Thiruvothu is a mystery thriller which shows the unsettling journey of journalist Sagar as he unravels a dark web of ominous predictions foretelling tragic incidents involving his own family. He encounters newspaper clippings detailing the deaths and gets entangled in a chilling exploration of the machine's predictions, presenting a suspenseful narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
'The Village' (Amazon Prime Video)
'The Village' is a Tamil-language horror thriller series created and directed by Milind Rau. It shows the story of Dr. Gautham Subramanian and his wife, Neha, and daughter, Maya. Their car breaks down in the haunted village of Kattiyal while they are travelling from Chennai to Thoothukudi. They are stranded and seek help. Soon, Gautham discovers the village is plagued by bloodthirsty mutants. The series is about survival and the horror element with supernatural forces made it a must-watch.
'Leo' (Netflix)
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, 'Leo' is about an animal rescuer and coffee shop owner Parthiban (Vijay) who becomes a local hero after rescuing the town in Himachal Pradesh from the attack of a hyena. His son Siddhu helps him in his efforts to tranquilize the hyena which leads to unexpected twists. 'Leo' has the elements of wildlife rescue and family dynamics in the picturesque landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.
'Prema Vimanam' (ZEE5)
'Prema Vimanam' shows the tales of two ambitious young boys- Ramu and Lachu, navigating their dreams amid financial constraints. They dream of boarding their first flight while it also shows a couple planning to elope to Dubai. The film beautifully captures the essence of simplicity and perseverance, intertwining their tenacity with the budding romance of Mani and Abhitha, delivering a heartwarming cinematic experience.
'Jigarthanda Double X' (Netflix)
'Jigarthanda Double X' is helmed by Karthik Subbaraj. The gangster drama is currently streaming on the OTT platform in five languages. It has Raghava Lawrence, S J Suryah, Naveen Chandra and Nimisha Sajayan.
