Actor Urvashi Dholakia, who is remembered as the OG vamp of television got married at the age of 16 and became a mother of twins at 17. She got divorced from her husband at 18. In an interview, Urvashi said that she didn't find true love after her divorce.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Urvashi Dholakia said that she has seriously dated somebody only once in her life as she doesn’t believe in casual relationships. The actress feels that no one can love her like her parents. So, she has made up her mind that she won't find true love now.
When asked if people showed interest in her when she returned to the industry after her divorce, Urvashi said, “No, not at all. Obviously, along the way, people feel attractions, but I was too focused. I would friend-zone a lot of people. Whenever I got the sense that they had ulterior motives, I would put a stop to it right there. I was very clear.”
The 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' actress added, “The truth is, nobody has loved me. They have loved me in bits and pieces, but what they didn’t understand was that they were also loved in bits and pieces. Nobody can love you wholly. I believe only parents can love you wholly.”
Urvashi also revealed that he locked herself up in a room for one month post her divorce. Since then, she said, she hasn’t had ‘stable’ relationships.
Urvashi was also in a relationship with actor Anuj Sachdeva but they parted ways. The actress called it ‘bad timing’, as her father was unwell.
“Anuj and I met at a time when again I went into a very vulnerable state. I was on the brink of losing my father. We met at that time. When I look back on that relationship, I think the timing was off. I was in a very weird place. We’d barely confessed our feelings to each other, and my father went into a coma, and within three months, he passed away. I didn’t know how to take it forward. I don’t blame him,'' she said.
After her dad's death, she became isolated and was mentally she couldn’t give attention to their relationship. However, Urvashi and Anuj are still friends but there is no chance of both getting back because they have both moved on in their respective lives.
