On Friday, ‘Sam Bahadur’ teaser was unveiled. Vicky Kaushal is playing the titular role of India's legendary Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the Meghna Gulzar directorial. Vicky has perfectly pulled off the look and mannerisms of India's war hero. Also starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles, it is all set to hit the theatres on December 1, 2023. 'Sam Bahadur' will lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal'. It is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also stars Rashmika Mandanna.
At the trailer launch event when Vicky was asked about the clash, he said, ''On that Friday, we both are going to hand over our films to the audience. So, that Friday is going to be the audience's day more than our day. We have only these many weeks in a year, but we as an industry can't limit ourselves to making only those many films a year. We want to build an atmosphere where multiple films can work together. We have that strength in the audience and at the exhibitor level. If the audience resonates with the films, both the films will work''.
He added, "I'm as excited for 'Animal' as anyone else. It should be a great day for the audience, we work for that, not for each other''.
For the unversed, Vicky and Ranbir shared the same screen space in 'Sanju'.
