Musicians Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani open up on what went behind the making of the ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ song from Shah Rukh Khan - Deepika Padukone starrer film 'Pathaan'. The comeback vehicle of megastar Shah Rukh Khan has left a mark and has set the mood for celebrations in Bollywood.

Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani discussed how they predicted the success of the song while composing the number. Vishal told Bollywood Hungama, “Maine kahan tha ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ mein log naachenge (While composing, I had told him [Sheykhar] that people will dance when Jhoome Jo Pathaan plays)." He was right and how! Soon after the release of the film, social media was abuzz with videos of people getting down from their seats and dancing below the screens in songs ‘Besharam Rang’ and ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’.

He continued speaking about the making of the song stating, "This song is inspired by old school Bollywood music. It is Siddharth Anand's speciality. He really loves that kind of music. We were sitting in the atrium, jab humne suna woh jo golai hai in the hook,  (when we heard the loop in the hook of the song), we knew yeh chadega logon ke zabaan pe (people will love this and sing it). Shekhar went on to add, “it is like a modern qawali kind of zone where there is a repeat of lines.

Pathaan featured Shah Rukh Khana and Deepika Padukone in the role of spies along with John Abraham as the antagonist. The film released on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The action thriller already crossed the 400 crore mark last week and it is now all set to enter the 500 crore club at the domestic box office.
