Matthew Perry popularly known as Chandler Bing of 'Friends' was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Saturday, October 28. Reportedly, the 54-year-old actor was found dead in a hot tub and apparently, he died of accidental drowning. The investigation is still underway.

Though he appeared in several shows and films, Perry’s charming character in the 10 seasons of 'Friends' made him one of the most recognisable actors in Hollywood.

In 2022, he came up with his memoir, 'Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing', at the beginning of which he wrote, “Hi, my name is Matthew, although you may know me by another name. My friends call me Matty. And I should be dead.”

In the same year, during a promotional event for his memoir, Matthew Perry revealed how he would like to be remembered after his death.

Perry said during his interview with Tom Power. "I would like to be remembered as somebody who lived well, loved well, was a seeker and his paramount thing is that he wants to help people. That's what I want."

He added, "The best thing about me, far none, is if somebody comes up to me and says 'I can't stop drinking, can you help me?' I can say yes and follow up and do it''.

Perry further said, ''When I die, I don't want 'Friends' to be the first thing that's mentioned. I want that to be the first thing that's mentioned."
