Yesteryear star Zeenat Aman took everyone by surprise when she made her Instagram debut at 71 recently. Her first post was a fresh selfie, and with that she shared a note where she spoke about the 1970s, revealing how the industry back then was “absolutely male dominated”.
Now in a recent interview, the much-loved star revealed why she made her Instagram debut after all these years, and even thanked her fans for the response. On her Instagram debut, Zeenat shared, “I had no intentions of making an Instagram debut. My kids kept encouraging me to start a social media handle because they know I love writing. They had been telling me this for one year, so this time, I decided why not? Let me express myself. So, because of them, I got on the gram, as they say!”
Further thanking her loved ones and fans, she added, “I have to say I am overwhelmed by the response that I have got so far. I want to thank them, really!”
Zeenat Aman is known to share some personal stories on Instagram, and she has left her fans enchanted with the same. Recently, she shared what motherhood meant to her, and wrote, “Once my children were born, they became my sole priority. And as a single mother to two boys, I felt doubly responsible for my babies. More than anything I wanted to protect them, and shape them to be kind and loving men. My approach to motherhood has always rested on the bedrock of unconditional love. I believe this is what each one of us who chooses to become a parent, owes our children,” as she shared a photo with her two sons.
The yesteryear star, who made her acting debut with ‘The Evil Within’, starred in some famous films including, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, ‘Don’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baraat’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Dharam Veer’, and ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’, among others.
