Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan is all set to make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming Netflix film ‘The Archies’. Being a star kid and her maiden association with Zoya Akhtar, there is a lot of anticipation around her film debut.
In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Zoya talked about Suhana and said how she is extremely talented. The renowned filmmaker said, “She’s such a little firebrand and she’s so talented. I don’t think she’ll have much of a problem.”
‘The Archies’ director further mentioned how Suhana “sings well”, a talent of hers that is not known by many yet. Akhtar also shared that Suhana goes by the nickname ‘Su’.
Meanwhile, in an earlier chat with Film Companion, Zoya Akhtar mentioned how she has trained the star kids who are making their debut in her film ‘The Archies’ in order to tackle the conversation around nepotism. Apart from Suhana, the film also marks the debut of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda, who is the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan.
“See at the end of the day, we all grow up. We all grow up wanting to follow our dreams. When you grow up in a house with parents you admire, you just end up doing things they do. It is as simple as that. Who is anyone to say, ‘You can’t do this, you can’t do that’,” Zoya said.
Interestingly, in an earlier chat with India Today, Suhana Khan mentioned how she felt “extremely insignificant” during her first day on the set. The young debutant said, “From the number of people on set to the number of lights on set and the hair and the make-up and the chaos, I feel like in the middle of it, I just felt extremely insignificant.” Suhana had also said how everyone on the set was doing everything to “facilitate Zoya’s vision and knowing that on my first day and realising that, I felt extremely nervous and at the same time, incredibly responsible.”
‘The Archies’ will be releasing on Netflix on December 7.
