The sub-4m SUV space has been a consistent volume driver for several car manufacturers. And Tata Motors is no exception, with the Nexon consistently registering decent sales numbers. Within a year of its launch, the company has produced 50,000 units - the last one was rolled out of Tata’s Ranjangaon facility recently. Not too long ago, the Nexon also scored a commendable 4-star rating in the global NCAP crash tests, standing firm on the passenger safety front.
In our last six month’s sales comparison report, the Nexon was at the third position among other sub-4m compact SUVs in India with an average sales of nearly 4,000 units a month. It was preceded by the segment-leader, Maruti Vitara Brezza, and the Ford EcoSport with monthly average sales of more than 12,000 and 4,500 units respectively. Here’s the detailed report on the same.
