The Ducati Scrambler is one of those motorcycles that works like a blank canvas for people who want to try their hands on customising their rides. And if you are one of its lucky owners or a custom bike builder in general, we have some good news for you: Ducati has commenced the registration process for the Custom Rumble competition, which is exclusive to the Scrambler range. Registration will close on 19 December 2019, and participants can upload their final designs on Ducati’s website till 30th January 2020.Now in its third edition, Ducati has increased the categories in the competition to five: four are dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler 800 and Sixty2 and one to the Ducati Scrambler 1100. The categories are as follows:

Rocker: Participants have to customise their motorcycles, which are inspired by the café racers of the 1960s.

Cut-down: It’s simple -- remove all the unnecessary parts and create bobber-styled mean machines.

All-Terrain: An enduro-style Scrambler that can take on any terrain.

Outsider: In this category, participants can give free rein to their imagination and go as wacky as possible.

Bully: Just like the Outsider category, this one too allows the participant to come up with outlandish custom ideas, except that here the test bed is the Ducati Scrambler 1100.

Interested people can vote for their favourite customised motorcycle on Ducati’s website by 15 March 2020. These votes will determine the winning bike, which will be rewarded in May 2020.

So if you are a Ducati Scrambler owner, dealer or custom builder, now would be the right time for you to break out your tools.

With the aim of providing even more freedom for personal reinterpretations, for this third edition the categories are increased and updated, there are in fact 4 categories dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler 800 and Sixty2 and one specifically for the Ducati Scrambler 1100.

The 5 concepts to take as a starting point for creating the custom motorcycle are:

Rocker: bikes inspired by the culture of the legendary café racers which, in the 1960s, started off an authentic revolution in the world of motorcycles

Bully: the special category dedicated to the Ducati Scrambler 1100, with no restrictions as to the type of bike or style
