A Phantom Black colour scheme is standard on the Sports Edition but you can also opt for the Polar White with Phantom Black dual-tone option by paying an extra Rs 11,000 over the above-mentioned prices. It’s possible that the newly launched Sports Edition of the Hyundai will replace the existing Creta SX dual-tone option as the former offers better value at roughly the same price point.

The Hyundai Creta Sports Edition is based on the SX variant but gets additional features over the latter. These include projector headlamps with smoked effect, blacked-out treatment for the front grille, power folding outside rearview mirror, silver roof rails and skid plates and a rear spoiler. The dark theme continues on the inside as well on the seat fabric which gets ‘Creta’ insignia, the leather-wrapped steering wheel gets contrast stitching while there’s a silver garnish on the front and rear AC vents.

The main highlight is the addition of an electric sunroof which was available only on the higher priced SX Auto, SX (O) and the top-spec SX (O) Executive variants of the Creta. Just like the SX variant, other features include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, wireless charging, smart key with push-button start-stop, rear washer and wiper, and a lot more.

The Hyundai Creta Sports Edition commands a premium of around Rs 53,000 over the SX for the petrol as well as the diesel version. This new variant comes as a godsend for those looking for a sunroof-equipped Creta but at a more affordable price.
