Lito Motorcycles has unveiled the second generation of its all-electric motorcycle, the Sora, at the 2019 Quail Motorcycle Show. The Canadian company has upped the ante this time by giving the second-gen Sora new features, loads of carbon fibre and (obviously) an expensive price tag.
The second-gen Sora is powered by a liquid-cooled, three-phase, permanent magnet AC motor that is coupled to an 18 kWh battery. The motor produces 108PS of power and 90Nm of torque. Lito has increased the top speed from 189kmph to 192kmph and the claimed range now stands at 288km! It has lost some weight as well. While the first-gen e-Bike tipped the scale at 260kg, the second-gen motorcycle weighs 250kg. The electric motorcycle gets a carbon fibre tank cover, transmission cover, sprocket covers, and even the headlight cowl is made up of carbon fibre.
Being a premium electric motorcycle, it gets fully adjustable 48mm inverted Ohlins forks and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of dual floating 320mm discs up front and a single floating 230mm unit at the back. In terms of features, it gets LED lights all around, a 5.7-inch LCD display which gets Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation, and an electronically adjustable seat!
Lito Motorcycles is offering a two-year warranty on the motorcycle and a 5-year warranty on the battery. However, with only 20 models being made and each costing a whopping $82,250 (around Rs 57 lakh, excluding taxes), it will be quite a challenge to get a hold of the Sora 2.0.
