MG Motor is getting closer to entering the Indian automotive market with its first SUV, which we now know is called the Hector. This mid-size SUV that will rival the likes of the new Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and the Mahindra XUV500.

With its size and rivals established, the MG Hector is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) when it is launched in June 2019. In order to reach a wider base (MG’s dealer network at launch will be around 100 touchpoints) and give prospective customers an ownership experience of its first SUV, MG has tied up with Myles.

The subscription service for the MG Hector will be available via the carmaker’s tie-up with Myles, a self-drive car sharing company. Through this method of ownership, users will be to experience owning the car without having to shell out/borrow a large sum of money straight away. They can also book test drives and avail a courtesy car for use while their Hector is being serviced through the Myles platform, which in turn is accessible via the company’s website or a phone app.
