After their initial unveiling at the Auto Expo 2018, we've been waiting for the Hero Maestro Edge 125 and Duet 125 for quite some time now. However, recent reports suggest, one of the scooters may not even carry the same badge as before. Leaked brochure and images reveal that Hero has rebadged the Duet 125 as Destini 125. The brochure also reveals that both the scooters, the Destini (Duet) and the Maestro Edge, will also come equipped with Hero's i3S technology.

Unlike the Maestro Edge, which is designed for a youth-centric audience, the Destini 125 will be marketed as a family scooter. This can be seen in its conventional design language, with some premium-looking fittings sprinkled across. These include a silver accent on the front, side and rear along with a dual-tone seat.

In terms of features, the Hero Destini comes equipped with a digital-analogue instrument console, LED tail light and an external fuel filler cap. For added convenience, you also get a mobile charging port and an underseat boot light.

Powering the Destini 125 is the same 124.6cc engine that will also be seen on the Maestro Edge 125. This motor churns out 8.7PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque, mated to a CVT transmission. The scooter rides on telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear, while braking is done via drum units on both ends.

With the recent development, it won't be surprising to see the Destini 125 hitting the showrooms in the next month or so. Once launched, it will go up against the TVS NTorq 125, the Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Activa 125.
