Jaguar has started accepting booking for the updated F-Pace (Model Year 2019) in India. It is available in a single Prestige variant and unlike before, gets a petrol engine, along with the already available diesel motor. It is priced at Rs 63.17 lakh and Rs 63.57 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) for petrol and diesel, respectively.
The updated F-Pace is powered by a set of Ingenium family of petrol and diesel engines. While the diesel F-Pace is powered by the 2.0-litre 180PS/430Nm engine as before, the petrol F-Pace gets a new 2.0-litre engine producing 250PS/365Nm. This engine is also available with the Jaguar XF in two states of tune: 200PS/320Nm and 250PS/365Nm. In the F-Pace, both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
Jaguar has also used this opportunity to update the feature list of the F-Pace. It is now equipped with park assist, lane keep assist, cabin air ionisation, driver condition monitor and 360-degree parking sensors.
Other standard features include six airbags, all surface progress control, hill launch assist, dynamic stability and traction control, adaptive LED headlights with LED DRLs, panoramic sunroof, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, parking camera, activity key, ambient lighting, 4-zone climate control, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation Pro and a 380W Meridian sound system.
As mentioned earlier, bookings for the new F-Pace have already begun and it can be booked at Jaguar dealerships or the carmaker’s official website. Deliveries are expected to begin by 2019. The F-Pace rivals the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, Audi Q5, Range Rover Evoque, Volvo XC60 and the Lexus NX 300h.
