Outlook and Picador India thank all the participants of the Outlook/Picador India Non-Fiction Competition. We were overwhelmed by your enthusiasm and by the number of entries we received.

The judges announced the winners at an awards ceremony at the IndiaInternational Centre Annexe lawns in New Delhi today and the First Prize went to Anuradha Roy for Cooking Women.
There was a tie for runner up, between Kavery Nambisan, for her entry, Dr. Sad and the Power Lunch, and Nilanjana S. Roy for English Vegetables, Desi Steak.
The First Prize-winning entry will appear in Outlook dated March 1, 2004 and be available on thesite on Saturday, February 28, 2004. The other two prize-winning entries, along with the following twoshort-listed ones would be available on the website from Monday March 1, 2004 onwards:
