He may not be the reading kind, but publishers and even authors may end up thanking hotelier Lalit Suri. For his daughter Deeksha's wedding next week, Lalit's wife decided to do away with the mandatory cake or sweets that accompany the wedding card. Instead, she ordered 3,000 coffeetablers on wedding themes like Indian Miniature Painting, Enamelled Indian Jewellery, Silk Brocades, Pashmina to go with the invitation card. If the trend catches on, this wedding season is going to be a bonanza for publishers, doubling their print runs from the paltry 1500-2,000.

Mani Still Matters
