Home Reads
If you’re heading abroad for the summer, don’t be surprised to find Indian books on the shelves of bookstores in the UK, Europe and even the US. Penguin India has just tied up with UK’s largest distributor, Gardner, for selling its 2,000-strong backlist to UK’s Indian population. The first 100 titles will hit UK shelves in the next few weeks. Among the launch titles to be exported are books by Shobhaa De and Arundhati Roy. HarperCollins has also tied up with two distributors to take their Indian titles worldwide.
