  • Sony: 6,000 sets (averaged 7,000 in the preceding 2-3 months)
  • Thomson: 3,000 sets
  • Goldstar is in limbo after LG Electronics, the owner of the brand, broke off the four-year-long partnership with Bestavision Electronics.
  • Samsung which has just launched and is still limited to northern India, sold about 1,500 sets.
