The Economic Survey 2021-22 was tabled in the Parliament on Monday, January 31, 2022, by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The pre-Budget survey of the economy has pegged economic growth of 9.2 per cent for the current financial year. "Advance estimates suggest that the Indian economy is expected to witness real GDP expansion of 9.2 per cent in 2021-22 after contracting in 2020-21," government said in the Economic Survey document. The survey has however, projected lower growth of 8-8.5 per cent for the next financial year.
