THOUGH Microsoft is tight-lipped about Gates' schedule, Outlook has been able to piece it together. Gates arrives in Delhi on March 3, when he will hold internal meetings and meet a few select customers. The next day, he addresses a meeting organised by the CII at the Taj Palace Hotel and another organ-ised by the IIT at the same venue. The US Embassy hosts a reception in his honour in the evening. Early on March 5, he flies to Mumbai, where he will address a meeting organised by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at the Homi Bhabha Auditorium on "Social Aspects of Information Technology." Prime Minister Deve Gowda will chair the meeting. Later in the day, 500 infotech CEOs will attend a NASSCOM-organised gathering at Hotel Oberoi Towers. Here Gates will share his vision on how Indian software companies can enter the next phase of growth. After dinner with some Indian industrialists, he flies off to keep his date with the Far East.
