Why should companies like the Taj group of hotels and Titan pay for a name that they do not even use?
By the same logic, should not Tata Sons pay compensation to any company that bears the Tata name and still goes bust?
Is Tata Sons really responsible for the success of many of the companies that are being asked to pay a brand fee?
Will the business of companies like Tisco and Telco suffer if the Tata name is withdrawn?
Is not the fee structure arbitrary?
