Lil Tay Death Rumors: Family Releases Statement Saying She’s Alive

After the rumors spread about the death of internet rapper and social media sensation Lil Tay, her family has communicated that she is alive.

Reportedly, Lil Tay is still alive. Just twenty-four hours after management representing the internet rapper and social media sensation confirmed her death, her family has supposedly communicated through a statement confirming that she is alive.

Initial reports about Lil Tay's supposed demise emerged from an Instagram post on August 9th, which has since been removed. The post also mentioned the passing of her brother. However, the family's newly asserted statement states that Lil Tay's Instagram account was "breached by an external party" who utilized it to disseminate unsettling false information and speculations about her.


Lil Tay emphasized that both her brother and she are secure and well, adding that she was  profoundly saddened and facing immense difficulty in articulating her emotions. She said that the past 24 hours have been incredibly distressing. 

The statement added that her  Instagram profile got breached by a third party, who then proceeded to disseminate unsettling false information and unfounded rumors about her. 


In a now-deleted Instagram post, the initial message conveyed the shocking news of ‘unforeseen and tragic departure of Lil Tay. The instagram post also mentioned the death of her  brother.

Lil Tay initially gained widespread recognition when she was just 9 years old, captivating social media as an influencer. She uploaded energetic videos in which she confidently flaunted her wealth and showcased high-end cars she supposedly owned. About five years ago, her parents engaged in a custody dispute that drew attention, coinciding with online rumors casting doubt on her family environment and overall well-being. In June 2018, a notable shift occurred when Lil Tay's Instagram profile underwent a complete reset, accompanied by a distressing "help me" message shared on her story.
