The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday issued guidelines for the registration of students appearing for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations in 2024. CBSE-affiliated schools have been asked to submit the details of the students promptly and the registration would be taking place through the Pariksha Sangam link available on the CBSE website.

According to the official release, CBSE-affiliated schools and their principals need to verify the eligibility of students for admission to classes 9 and 11.

Schools have been further asked to ensure that the students being registered are regular and bonafide, and none of the names are left unregistered. Schools must also ensure that students are not from any unauthorised/unaffiliated school and are regularly attending classes. Students are eligible for admission in Classes 9 and 11 and will appear in Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations in the subsequent year as per the provisions of exam by-laws.

The guideline also reads that schools must register themselves with CBSE before proceeding with the online procedure. All affiliated schools have been directed to present a list of the number of students and their particulars in respect of classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 at the beginning of an academic session in the manner prescribed by the board.

The guidelines have also several exemptions for students with disabilities under the Disabilities Act 2016.
