Maha HSC Results: 90.37 Pc Students Pass In Latur Division, Girls Outshine Boys

The pass percentage in Latur division for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), results of which were declared on Thursday, was 90.37 per cent, an official said.

Latur division comprises Latur, Osmanabad and Nanded districts, he said, adding that 88,051 of the 89,782 registered students appeared, of which 79,572 passed.

Division secretary Sudhakar Telang said 42,641 of the 48,833 registered male students, or 87.32 per cent, and 36,931 of the 39,218 female students, or 94.16 per cent, have passed in Latur division.

"A total of 38,928 students from Nanded had registered for the examination. Of this, 38,276 appeared and 33,901 have passed. From Osmanabad, 15,630 out of 15,945 registered students appeared and 14,029 cleared it.  In Latur, 34,909 students were registered, of which 34,145 appeared and 31,642 passed," he said.

"In the division, Latur district has a pass percentage of 92.66, followed by 89.75 in Osmanabad and 88.56 in Nanded. Latur division is seventh in the state as per pass percentage," Telang added.
