On the 76th day of the Gaza war, at least 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7.

The United Nations Security Council, for the third time this week, postponed the vote on a resolution advocating a suspension in fighting and urging increased humanitarian aid to Gaza. President Joe Biden expressed that the United States' support for the resolution remains undecided.

This delay reflects the hesitancy of the United States to sign a resolution that could be seen as a criticism of Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza. The vote, initially slated for early this week, has been rescheduled for Thursday.

International aid groups stress the critical need in Gaza, where 90% of the 2.3 million residents have been displaced by widespread destruction. Many are now grappling with malnutrition, a severe lack of clean water, and limited access to medical care.
