In good news for all Apple users, the tech giant has released iOS 17 beta 7 alongside macOS 14 Sonoma beta 6. Those who are registered developers can easily download the beta through the Apple Developer Center. The sixth beta build of macOS Sonoma is now available to testers for testing on Macs and MacBooks.
What features does macOS Sonoma offer?
With macOS Sonoma, users will get to personalize their Mac. Through this significant software update, the apple users will be able to see a new system for widgets, which are small interactive apps that can be placed on a user's desktop. Also, one can customize the look and feel of a user's Mac interface with new wallpapers, cursors, and sounds.
Some of the widgets that a user will be able to check on their desktop screens are automatic dimming and transparency, color changes that match the wallpaper, and a picker dialog. Also, a Presenter Overlay is included to help participants in video calls manage their Zoom presentations.
Apart from that, Apple has also made changes affecting Safari and Messages. The changes have also been made to the gaming section wherein the tech giant has added a Game Mode.
The tech giant has also added a bunch of new security features, wherein a new lockdown mode has been introduced, which helps the user protect their Mac from sophisticated cyberattacks.
The macOS Sonoma aims to give users a new high-performance mode for the screen-sharing app. Furthermore, it is expected that the macOS Sonoma will be rolled out for users in the fall of 2023.
Meanwhile, back on June 05, 2023, Apple released iOS 17 during the annual Worldwide Developers Conference. In early June, iOS 17 was made available as a pre-release version. Also, the tech giant has extended iOS 17 testing via its public beta program as well.
