Even before the two countries could recuperate from the devastating aftermaths of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake on February 6, another massive quake of 6.4 magnitude jolted Turkey and Syria on Monday. A number of buildings collapsed in the new quake, trapping people inside. Monday's earthquake was centered in the town of Defne, in Turkiye's Hatay province.
