Israel's military has exposed the largest Hamas tunnel in Gaza, stretching over four kilometers and is positioned just 400 meters from the Erez Crossing, a vital travel route for Gazans to Israel, the extensive tunnel system facilitated the covert movement of vehicles, weapons, and Hamas operatives.
This discovery is reportedly led by Mohammad Sinwar, brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and commander of the Khan Yunis Battalion who poses a significant challenge in the ongoing conflict.
The tunnel network reaches depths of up to 100 feet beneath Gaza and allegedly extends beneath schools, hospitals, and residential areas, as revealed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in a recent post on X.
