As the war in the Gaza Strip entered its third month on Sunday, diplomatic efforts to contain and resolve the situation are underway, with top diplomats touring the region. Israel has declared progress in dismantling Hamas's command structure in northern Gaza and maintains its commitment to neutralising the group's capabilities throughout the affected territory.

Despite mounting pressure from allies, neighbouring nations, and global leaders, Israel remains steadfast in its mission. The ongoing war has resulted in a reported death toll of over 23,000 people since October 7.

The war reaches day 93, here are the latest updates.

1. Wissam Tawil, a top commander in Hezbollah's elite Radwan unit was killed in a suspected Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon. More than 130 Hezbollah fighters including members of the Radwan force have been killed in hostilities across the Israeli-Lebanese border since October 7.

2. Increased Israeli military activity led to the partial evacuation of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza. WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reported that approximately 600 patients and medical staff were forced to leave, with their current location unknown.

3. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his government is grappling with a “plague of leaks”. He proposed that ministers attending security meetings undergo polygraph tests to address the issue.

4. Israel signalled readiness to end its bombardment in northern Gaza, claiming the dismantling of Hamas in that region. However, intense military operations are expected to persist in the rest of the enclave.

5. WHO cancelled its mission to al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza for the fourth time since December 26, citing a lack of security guarantees.

6. Gaza's Health Ministry reported 73 Palestinians killed and 99 wounded in Israel's attacks over the past 24 hours. At least eight people died in an Israeli air attack on a house in Deir el-Balah. Journalist Mustafa Thuraya was also killed in the attack near al-Mawasi.

7. UNRWA stated that 142 of its employees have been killed in ongoing Israeli air raids on Gaza since the war began on October 7.

8. Diplomatic Visits: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited the Middle East, meeting leaders from Qatar and Jordan. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock arrived in Israel for meetings with President Isaac Herzog and Foreign Minister Israel Katz.
