Renowned Egyptian sensation Tamer Hosny commemorates his birthday today on August 16th. Tamer Hosny, a multifaceted artist encompassing roles as a singer, songwriter, composer, and actor, started his musical journey in 2002. His enchanting melodies have rightfully earned him the endearing title of "Star of the Generation," affectionately bestowed upon him by his devoted fanbase.


Hosny has garnered numerous accolades throughout his career. Notable among these are the 2002 Nile Variety channel's award for Best Selling Album, the prestigious titles of Best Arab Artist at Murex D’Or in both 2014 and 2016, as well as the esteemed recognition of Best Arab Artist at the Middle East Music Awards in 2015.

Furthermore, he stands as a trailblazer, being the first Arab artist to achieve over 100 million views on Anghami.


In August 2017, Hosny made his way to Los Angeles, where he left an indelible mark by having his handprint and footprint immortalized in the Forecourt of the Stars at the renowned Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

It's noteworthy to highlight that on March 30, 2018, the renowned artist became the inaugural Arab pop sensation to grace the stage with a concert in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event drew a massive crowd of Saudi attendees, with approximately 90 percent of them being women.

The concert took place with the backing of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, which justified selecting Hosny for this grand performance due to his immense popularity across all segments of the Saudi population.


Furthermore, Hosny took the stage during the inaugural event of the Abu Dhabi 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games. Sharing the spotlight with celebrated Syrian vocalist Assala, Emirati sensation Hussein al-Jasmi, Puerto Rican luminary Luis Fonsi, and Canadian pop icon Avril Lavigne, Hosny contributed to a captivating opening ceremony.

The renowned Egyptian superstar is well-known for his philanthropic gestures. He visited the late young YouTuber, Mostafa Hefnawy, shortly before his passing. Additionally, he urged all his fans to join him in sending prayers for the young YouTuber's recovery.
