Protesters in Lebanon have vandalised a number of banks over unpopular policies amid ongoing financial crisis in the country. Since the financial crisis began in 2019, the banks have imposed informal capital controls, restricting depositors from accessing their funds. Moreover, Lebanon's currency has collapsed and inflation has spiraled. Protesters shouted slogans demanding the release of depositors' trapped savings.
