More than 12,000 people have been forced to evacuate as wildfires in Spain have burnt over 20,000 acres of forests. No casualties have so far been reported. The worst wildfires in the region in decades threaten 11 towns and over 400 firefighters and 23 water-carrying aircraft are engaged in firefighting work.
