Thailand Celebrates Loy Kratong Festival, Festival Of Lights

People in Thailand celebrated Loy Kratong Festival, the festival of lights. Thais also honour the Goddess of Water on this day. The Loy Krathong coincides with the Lanna festival known as Yi Peng, which means 'Full Moon Day'. Worshipping the Water Goddess, Thais ask for forgiveness for polluting rivers and also to worship the Buddha's hair pagoda in the heaven.
