Step 1: Eligibility Criteria
To be considered eligible for the creator ads revenue sharing program, the creator must meet the following criteria:
- Be subscribed to X Premium or Verified Organizations.
- Have accumulated at least 5 million organic impressions on your posts within the last 3 months.
- Have a minimum of 500 followers.
Step 2: Prerequisites
Once you meet the eligibility criteria, you'll need the following:
- Stripe Account: This is required for payouts. X has partnered with Stripe as its payment processor.
- Adherence to Terms: You must adhere to Ads Revenue Share Terms, including Creator Monetization Standards and X Rules.
Step 3: Accessing Ads Revenue Sharing
All eligible X Premium and Verified Organizations subscribers can participate as long as they meet the criteria and join.
To apply for both Creator Subscriptions and Ads Revenue Sharing:
- Go to the "Monetization" section in your settings.
- Access "Monetization" through the side menu on iOS and Android, or the overflow menu on the web.
Step 4: Program Participation
While all eligible users are encouraged to participate, remember that breaching the Ads Revenue Share Terms might lead to exclusion from the program.
Step 5: How it Works
- Eligible users can join and set up payouts from the Monetization section of the app.
- Click on "Join and setup payouts."
- You'll be redirected to Stripe to create an account for receiving your revenue share.
- Your Stripe account will serve as the platform for transferring funds to your external bank account.
- Once opted in, you'll receive regular payouts, provided you've generated over $10 USD.
Step 6: Program Changes
Understand that X retains the right to modify or cancel the program for various reasons. Participation can also be revoked if X deems it necessary, so compliance with the Ads Revenue Program Terms is crucial.
