Gareth Edwards' sci-fi film is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Recently, the movie was released for the first audience, and the initial reviews of the film are magnificent. The sci-fi thriller revolves around the storyline of a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence. The movie is helmed by Gareth Edwards and stars John David Washington, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney.

"The Creator" is a film about the elusive creator of advanced AI who has created a mysterious weapon with the ability to end the war and humanity itself. Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the loss of his wife (Chan), is recruited to find and kill the Creator.

The world-ending weapon that Joshua and his team of elite operatives are sent to destroy is actually an AI in the form of a young child (Voyles) as they cross enemy lines into the shadowy center of AI-occupied territory.

What was the inspiration behind the 'Tanks' shown in the movie?

Gareth Edwards revealed that a huge credit for the creation of tanks in the movie goes to his production designer, James Clyne. The director further revealed that they wanted to put a tank in the movie that should give the feel of an anime film.

Edward added that the team secretly wished Bandai, a company that creates all the toy models of manga and anime characters, would one day release the character as a model kit.

To check whether it would feel the same if the team were in the store, they would take Bandai boxes off the Internet and place our tank on them. And that's when they realized they got the ideal tank they were looking for.

Meanwhile, earlier the film was supposed to hit theaters on October 06, 2023. However, the dates were changed, and now 'The Creator' will be released on September 29, 2023.
